Meet Ann

I’m Ann Hooper. I’m a CPA with 15+ years in corporate accounting and audit, and I’ve spent years watching smart, hardworking founders scale impressive revenue while having absolutely no idea why their cash balance wasn't adding up.

Not because they weren't capable. But because standard bookkeeping only tells you what happened in the past, not where your brand is leaking cash today.

That’s the gap I bridge. I translate your financial data into a clear operational strategy: which products or marketing channels are actually profitable, whether your pricing models are sustainable, and exactly what your metrics are telling you about your next inventory cycle. No spreadsheet overwhelm. Just data-backed guardrails so you can scale with confidence.

My background:

I spent 15+ years in corporate accounting and audit, including 8 years in internal audit at major healthcare and retail organizations. I know what healthy numbers look like, what bad ones are hiding, and exactly where the gaps are that standard accountants miss.

I launched my own advisory and bookkeeping firm in 2020. Over the last 6 years, I’ve partnered directly with ecommerce operators to clean up their reporting, maximize their margins, and protect their cash flow.

I’m also the co-founder of Fool’s Gold Collectibles, a Shopify-based ecommerce retailer. Because I’m an active operator in the space, I know firsthand the daily operational challenges facing product-based brands. I combine that real-world retail grit with my corporate financial background to drive measurable improvements to your bottom line.

What it's like to work with me: Direct. Calm. Zero jargon. You work directly with me, a corporate-trained CPA, not a junior staffer or a generic template. Just elite financial insight applied directly to your retail operations.

Beyond the Business

I live near Lake Michigan in Wisconsin with my dog Izzy, who manages my walk schedule with zero flexibility.

I’m mom of two grown sons, a proud grandma, a mystery novel enthusiast, and firmly of the opinion that good financial clarity should feel like relief and not homework.
